Hey all. Starting on a build from scratch and planning on making it out of 1/4" Aluminum. A bit thick but makes it easer to work with since I am going to machine tool it and weld on it. Just wondering if I can pick someones brain that has done something like this. The one thing i am slightly stumped on doing is putting in the pins to raise the mobo. My only idea right now is to scrap an older case and weld that part in. Any Ideas out there?

I know for sure that Lian-li used to make separate mobo backplates (made of aluminium) partially for this type of use a couple of years ago.
Look around at well assorted Lian-Li retailers to see what you can pick up!

nice! that helps a lot. I was almost going to give up on the idea
