Ok so i bought some ram (2GB Gskill the HZ ones) on ebay and it just so happened that the auction came with a MSI Neo4-F Mobo and a Opteron 165 which i at first intended to sell but i got the idea to use my old ram and make a server with them and im now looking for a decent case to put it all in now. Like the title says its suppose to be budget so im looking for $50-85.
A few that have caught my eye -
Centurion 5
XION Stacker
AeroCool Masstige
And with thoughts of making it a HTPC also the NZXT DUET

What do you think? or what case would you recomend?
 
Personally, I'd go with the NZXT. I've got a sweet spot for HTPC.
 
Centurion 5 FTW. At $50 it has better build quality than any of the other cases listed. Put a Nexus Real Silent up front and a Yate Loon in back and you're silent.
 
Not to threadjack but why is bestbuy so much cheaper on the their cases than Newegg? I always think of Bestbuy ripping me off when it comes to computer parts but why are they so cheap?:confused:

Well im thinking at the max 3 HDs and i have a Centurion 5 right now and i do love it but i thought about getting a different case this time around because ive never built a system in any other case. (Ive built 3 with the Cent 5) Plus it might be stored im my living room so it needs to have a little class. Im also considering getting the P180B for my setup now and use the Cent 5 from it for the server.
 
Well the day to order parts has come at the end of the day im going to purchase the parts so please post your thoughts. Im leaning towards the XION Stacker but ive also started considering buying a P180B for my PC and use the Cent 5 from it for the server but thats a little out of the budget i set myself for this project, but its just so damn sexy;) - soo tempting.
 
Seriously, if it's going to be out of sight, forget spending any significant amount of money on a case. Just buy the cheapest case you can find that has the drive bays you need. Since it's out of sight, you don't need to worry about looks or noise or all the fancy features of nicer cases. Newegg has this one for Free + shipping AR.
 
Thats just it its not going to be out of sight i most likely will be stored in my living room so like i said it has to have a little class.
