Case Fans/Fan Controller Question

I have an Antec 300 Case, with 5 Antec brand fans. Each fan has a switch attached to it for low, medium, and high speed. I want to hook all my fans up to a fan controller. When I get everything hooked up, does it matter what setting those fan switches are on so i can control the fans properly?

just keep them on the high setting and you'll be good to go.

just remember that most fans need about 4v to even start, and you also lose a little on the top end when using a fan controller (ie max rpm won't be attainable when using most fan controllers) i just put a fan controller in for my h50 as i added dual fans and wanted to be able to control the rpms a bit. i have to say i could have done without it. i think for most people fan controllers are only necessary when you have high rpm fans that are very loud, so you can adjust them down when not doing intensive things, or to just quiet them down in general. honestly with that setup, unless you live in a warm climate you can probly do with just putting the fans on low and call it a day. what kind of temps are you getting? or do you just want the controller as eyecandy more than function? i was going to do the same thing with my antec 1200 when i did my build but i found it wasnt necessary at all given the case flow. i added one recently but for me anyways it was way overkill. i got the nzxt lx, and i should ahve just gotten the sentry 2. oh well. im not ripping it out now.
