this is a REALLY simple question, but after reading FAQ threads and sites, i still can't find the best solution.

i have my CPU fan blowing air onto my heat sync. i have my PS fan doing its thing. i have one more fan. is it better to have it blow air in or out? sorry if this is a completely ridiculous question. i was thinking it should blow air in, but it's been blowing air out for quite a while (a friend put it together for me). thanks.

PS-and sorry for the very noob-like thread. i just haven't been into this stuff ever since i switched to my 12" PowerBook G4.

It's always a good idea to bring some fresh air into the case. At the same time you should also be venting the warm air inside the case. Sounds like you need one more fan to bring in some fresh air.

according to the ATX specification, the PS fan should suck the hot-rising air out of the case. For efficient air flow put an air intake fan at the front and bottom, or on the side of your case.
