Hay, I want a black/red theme in my case and I want my fans to have a black housing(?) and red blades.

The black housing is fine as it, however my question relates to the fans.

I'm looking at an extra fan laying around here. the same kind that I want to buy but the layout is the same.

If I put masking tape over the housing and found something to stuff between the space between the fan and housing (where you can see the motor), could I just spray paint it red that way? Has anyone done it this way? Painting fans wouldn't throw off its balance or anything would it?

Also, I don't know anything about anything about paint. I've looked around and there are many ways to paint on many surfaces. What would be the best way to do this? All I want is the color red. It doesn't have to look like car paint or like a mirror. Just red. Maybe a shine or something if it would look to plastic-y or dull.

What would you guys suggest?

THANX

BTW, I've read there are ways to just take the fan apart. I kinda don't trust myself taking the thing apart and putting it back together. Plus, I dunno if mine can even be taken apart.

Almost all fans can be taken apart.. just practice on an older model. Once you have it apart.. paint and reattach.

Enermax has fans with removeable blades. They also sell fans with black frame and red blades already.
