Case Fan Filter?

I just got my new system and put it up and running (Hoooray) this new case have a total of 6 openings for 120mm fans... I put 4 in good use but there is still 3 left wide open. I have to clean my old case so often because I have 4 cats and the old case is a sucker for the furs... It once blocked my old graphic card's heatsink completely and caused my system to hang up.

And here is my question, do you guys DIY your own filter? If so what material do you use? How do you secure it on to the case? I'm thinking about putting fan filters in my new case so I don't have to worry about long furs getting inside me case.

This May Sound Retarded, but the best case fan filter i have is Black Panty Hose :rolleyes:

May sound stupid but is the best imo, dont know if anyone else has ever tried but........


1. Cheap
2. Easy to install
3. Easy to replace if needed
 
I agree....it works great plus the fact that it's really cheap makes it even better.
 
Cheap - yes. Most effective - hardly.

Consider making a filter from a forced air furnace/AC system air filter. These are specifically designed to filter dust from air. Not as cheap as panty hose, but then most guys will look more normal buying a filter at Home Depot than panty hose at a drug store - not an issue if you're a woman :)
