How is compatibiliy between a case and a mobo listed?

Are all compatible? I know it has to be ATX for my mobo--but what else must I look for?
 
Any ATX mobo, that is.

The ATX form factor is almost completely standard. A mATX board will fit in an ATX case, same with flex ATX. ATX mobos will not fit in mATX cases. Flex ATX is wierd, and some fit in mATX, some don't. In terms of PSU compatibility, almost any ATX PSU will fit in an ATX case, unless it is a SFF case.
