Hey guys.

I am currently in the market for a case, mid or full-tower. For now, only air cooling will be used (TRUE), followed by possible water cooling down the road.

Budget is not an issue, and with that being said, I have come to the following cases:

(all the prices are listed as the lowest)

Antec 1200 - $179

Cooler Master 830/831/832 - $240

Lian Li V1010 - $260

Lian Li PC-A70 - $240

Silverstone TJ09 - $280

SIlverstone TJ07 - $320

Which would you choose? I will most likely stick with air cooling for now.

Are there any other cases that you would prefer that are not listed above (Lian Li PC-A77 is not availble, though it would have been my favorite option).
 
my choice would be one of the silverstones. i just got my TJ10 yesterday and am loving it. compared to a lian li v2000 the construction and build quality is much better. the aluminum feels much thicker and doesn't seem to rattle as much. i'm not sure what thickness of aluminum the new LL v-series use but of the two lian li's i had, the build quality did not impress me as much as the silverstone.
 
Is the Antec Twelve Hundred really that good?

I don't like the fact that it is not deep. Is that a valid point? Or will is still be able to fit most video cards?

Its no worse than the Antec 900 which leaves oodles of room around my 8800GT.
From the end of the gfx card to the drive bays is around 50mm, to the end of a hard drive in the bay (if you must put one exactly where the gfx card is!) is about 25mm gap.
 
I also was deciding between the A70, TJ07 and the Antec P182, and did not have a budget for the case. It appears the P182 has a very strong following. I have not ordered yet because I am still debating (I just really like the looks of the other two cases), but based on the P182 reviews, you may want to add it to your list.
 
Size and workability go with the Rocketfish, (Lain Li clone), if you can find it, cheap, light, all alum and is just a great all around case; very flexable.

Longest graphic cards are fair inch longer than width of ATX motherboard so E-ATX capability means that there's plenty of space for longest cards without blocking anything else. (important if you have lot of HDDs and 5.25" devices)

I would skip also these:
Mini-Stackers (83x): PSU on top, thermally bad place.
SS TJ09: Only 4 5.25" bays, HDD cooling ain't good looking


Lian Li V2010 should have same price as SS TJ07 so that's one option more:

A70 and related cases (A71, A7010, A7110 and A77) have easily removed top and readily holed ones available so also they have space for water cooling.
