case and quality psu suggestions

i dont care too much about the case, all i want is for it to be big and black(to match optical drives) i am going to do some oc'in (3000+ to 2.6ghz(hopefully) and just oc a 6800gt or x800 xt (or whatever new card might come out for sli or apparently ati's "MR") as much as i can.

i have around ~$120 (U.S) and any recamendations for fans and a cpu heatsink would be greatly appreciated

........and just on the side......do u need a fan for a harddrive as to i see a lot of oem drives and am wondering if u need a fan for them?? :confused:
 
If I were you, I would just go to newegg and start looking at cases. I love antecs personally, but they don't tend to make alot of the larger chassis. Their power supplies, however, come in all sizes and are of excellent quality.
 
If you want a really nice, large case and a really nice psu, and don't mind sanding or repainting, go to tigerdirect.com and hop on that chieftec dragon/ultra x-connect PSU deal... its about 105$. I don't see how you can go wrong with that.
 
i saw that case before and it looks pretty cool but i havent herd to many good things about ultra's psu's or tigerdirect........i think i am aiming for a antec or a forton(good or bad..i herd good) psu........i dont care what brand is the case, a case is just a case...litteraly.
 
well...i guess i can squeeze this case and psu in my budget, i like it because it has 120mm fans and i am not too sure about the psu(plz tell me if it is good or bad) and it doesnt look too bad

Thermaltake makes good psu's as well, so it sounds like the Thermaltake case is the one for you. Personally, I don't like fancy ones like that, but it's a matter of what you want to be looking at all the time.
 
I prefer Antec cases myself, the quality of build is excellent. I've been using Antec True power supplies for a while as well, and their nice for the money. You could look at the Antec Sonata case which is black and has a True 380 or better power supply for a pretty reasonable price.
 
i dont really like how the sonata cases look but as u can tell(or is it just me?) newegg has crappy pictures for cases(something that i believe they have to fix!) so i will google it for pics.

....and i have noticed that the plain old rectangular cases tend to be more expensive then most "fancy" cases....kind of wierd but it probably has something to do with high demand and the manufacturers are good at trying to "milk it for all its worth"(one of the many step-backs from a truely "civilized" human race)...in my opinion, we will never be civilized before we destroy ourselves or run out of resources and move to mars...opps.....im going way off topic aint i.....
