I was running my computer the other day and i had all of my fans going (9) and playing a game. when i exited i looked at the temp and it said it was 143. i turned off my computer in a panic. i turned it back on about 1 hour later. letting it settle. when i turned it back on it was fine. then i was letting sit on idle. when i looked the degrees went baqcl up. i took out all of my fans (led) and put my old fans back in. when i turned it on it was normal i checked it about 4 hours later and it was still normal. played a game for about 1 hour and came back and it had risen a little but stil normal. i put the leds back in and the temp went back up. is it falty fans or is it the leds? i went out today and bough some copper fans and going to install them. i want to make sure that its the leds before i take these out so if its not the leds i can return the others. please help i dont want to fry my computer (oh its not the cpu fan i know that)

woah, this thread came back from no where.

it's not the LED's causing your computer to overheat, LED's do not emit heat. It's just that they're crappy fans apparently.

and... copper fans? did i not get the memo on that one? sense when are there copper fans? hehe.

copper fans r only a special order. my friends dad works for some computer company an di can get them through him. the fan is made of copper obviously but the blades are made of some metal stuff. the fans blow twice as much that a regular fan. but my freind has them in his computer and hid computer runs at 80 with them going. he also has another computer with the water cooling system on it and it runs 80 in the same room. im still going to use the copper fans. but it seemed actually it did go up when the led fans where in tehre. it is confusing me. im not sure what it is im just going to replacec all of the fans

are your temps in celsius or fahrenheit ??

what the hell are you running with 9 fans (are you counting cpu and gpu ) ive only got 10 total (3 intake, 3 exaust, 2psu, 1 cpu, 1 gpu so realy only 3) (im running 89f = 32c for comparison)

be sure you have the fans placed in a way that gives you good airflow and not dead spots in the case, that heat up..

your LED fans are no good obviously. Once again, it has nothing to do with the LEDs however. They do not put off heat. It also really depends on how you have your fans placed, how your airflow is.

also, since these supposed copper fans work twice as much, why would you not be using them? unless noise is a concern.

Copper would make absolutely no difference as far as fans are concerned. Fans cool by moving air, not by conducting heat, so a copper fan is not going to cool better than a steel fan or a bronze fan. Any increase in cooling is due to the fans moving more air, not because they are made of copper. I bet they look really cool though.

the copper fans blow twice as much as regular fans. they are made copper because of the type of bearings that are in them. it runs faster which gives off more air flow

Yeah that makes sense. What is the cfm rating on those? They're 80mm, right?

there 80 and 120 i think its 120 im not really familiar with them but i do know that there 80. my friends dad is trying to get a website up about his company and it should be up soon and when it is i will give it to you all so you can look at these fans. there not that expensive there only 26 a peice and its worth it. i just installed them into my computer and it runs a lot cooler. the degrees in F right now is 80 and with my other fans it was around 95-102. i alos have another question. by putting a amd 2600 (barton) into and ecs k7s5a pro mobo will it run like it should or below. i have another post about it but the people didnt really help me. i was wondering if i would have to buy like and asus board or something.

There is no reason for your CPU to be running that hot, even after taxing it... Check your hearsink. Did you use thermal paste? If not, use it. If you did, make sure you didnt put too much on. That can make your sys run really hot.

:) :)

I have a 120 intake and a 120blow hole in my YY cube... other fans on optical drive side dont do much, and I run 25-35 celsius.

i have the valcano 7 cpu cooler and i have the past on there and its not to much. it was the fans in the computer. they whent hooked up right. when i changed them i forgot to plug the cpu cooler back in *stupid me* so thats y it was running hotter. im probaly going to get the watercooler newaz

Told you sir.

It had to be something with the heatsink/fan. The is the only logical thing.
