Card Upgrade - Re-Install Driver?

it wouldn't hurt to try it. I went from a 4890 to a 6870 and it forced me to reinstall the driver if i wanted my card to work properly. though nvidia could be different.
 
Of course you should upgrade your drivers, don't forget that a GTX 480 is a DX11 card.
 
Not neccesary but generally highly recommend to uninstall, reboot in safe mode, run driver cleaner / sweeper, then reinstall updated drivers.
