is there any card readers that i can buy that also displays pictures for the individual cards (i.e the sd card icon would have a sd card pic in "my computer")
 
Not sure on Point N Click solutions but Im sure with some patience and some icon software you could change the icon for each drive to the required media...
If I had my icon software installed Id do it for ya. And just send over a dll with the icons.
 
I'm not sure if this is what you mean exactly, but the Dazzle I have (not sure exactly which model) mounts as at least two separate drives. I haven't tried other sorts of media (only CF and SmartMedia), but perhaps it would show a drive letter for others, too. The icons are identical, but as GLSauron suggested, there are 3rd-party tools to change icons.
