Card in the $120 range?

I need a new card and was wondering what the best one is these days for around $120. My last few cards have been Nvidia so an AMD would be a nice change but only if they make as good or better cards in that price range.

What resolution are you gaming at? What power supply do you have?

At that price range I would recommend buying used. GTX 560ti, ati 6950, gtx 480

Its an HTPC so max resolution is 1080p, my current card is a 460GTX so I would like something better than that. I dont remember what the power supply is but its enough for a card in that price range.

I dont think I can buy used because I need fast shipping or it available at best buy, its replacing a burnt out one.

You should be able to get an AMD HD6850 or HD 6870... Although I would really try and hold out just for a little more money and grab the 7850.

I'd post of wanted ad in the forsale section. Whenever I sell stuff I ship it same or next day and many others do aswell. At best Buy you're going to get a card worse then your current 460 for $120

Turns out if you get a 7850 you get Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider for free, 2 games I planned on getting (was going to wait for TR to go on sale, probably preorder Bioshock), so that saves me around $100. So I ordered the 1gb version for $179. I still think its lame that my $90 GTX 460 which I got a long time ago beats every card going for $120 today... and they wonder why nobody is upgrading.

Hopefully it is next gen ready and can handle graphics like Watchdogs.

That's a good buy. Should play most any game at 90-100% max settings at 1080p.

That's a pretty fantastic buy actually

If I wasn't satisfied with a 580 I'd want to take advantage of some of these game package deals

ya, usually these free game bundles include stuff everybody already played and beaten, but this includes Bioshock Infinite before its even out, so that saves $60 for pretty much every buyer, and Tomb Raider is a game I was going to pick up once it hit around $40. The more powerful cards include Crysis 3 and Bioshock, Im not very interested in Crysis 3 so to me this card has the best deal. The bundle just said "Bioshock" which I assumed was the first one or 2 since thats usually the kind of games that are included, when I hit details and it said "Infinite" I hit the buy button.

Nice. you can get some good deals 2nd hand, but walking into a best buy to buy a video card is not wise. Maybe now that they price match online retailers....

I got two GTX 470 for $85 each and a 6870 for $100. Both of them would of been upgrades for you, but they were used.

You should be happy with that card, Tomb Raider is a good game in my eyes. Im having fun playing it.
