The cloth feels great to the touch. However, the loose weave would make your idea impracticle, not to mention the fibers are supposed to be similar to fiberglass fibers so you're not supposed to rub your skin against it...

You could get some type of clear rubber and make panels out of that with it and make a jacket though. As long as the cloth is sealed up....

Yes, like robot wars. It's actually not all that hard if you plan out what you're doing, or even if you don't. If you want to give it a try, PM/email/AIM me.
 
One thing to be aware of with CF is the galvanic reaction with aluminum. CF in any form will corrode and destroy Al without mercy.
