car PC audio question

Hello all, I have been trying to learn about putting a PC in a car, and I am very interested in being able to play music on my hard drive through the car speakers. The obvious problem is they are not a normal PC audio cables. (I did see this done once on House Power TV, but they did not go into details)

Is there something out there, that will eaither convert or work with these speaker wires? It would be nice to have stereo(i don't need 4 channels).
I guess you could think of it as hooking up normal bookshelf speakers to the computer.

It would be nice if I could do this with a PCI card, as an external amp would be too much power in the car(and not enough room).

Any help would be very helpful, as I'm very new to this concept.

The simplest way of going about this is to jury-rig a 1/8" input to the existing stereo. Or just use a *shudder* tape adapter. Play around with it for a while, and you should be able to figure it out.
