I decided to just order the Cape Coolplex reservoir because of the lost of thread on my Aquabox Plexi.

But I ordered the version which was a full plexi (container + covers) and ended up receiving the other version with the black covers. The upper and lower covering are made of a material called POM or "Polyoxymethylene".

Wiki info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyoxymethylene

I'm no good at chemistry, so let's speak english ;)

I haven't heared much about this material when it comes to stability and leak tests. But is this any danger to cause any form of corrosion or what-not and what-so-ever... ?

Thanks for any ideas !

It's basically just Delrin plasic.

Same thing DD uses for the top of the black Maze 4 blocks.

Uhm... so no danger with anything ? The components on my loops are the PUR hose, copper radiators, innovatek g-flow, and the metal screw-on barbs.

No possible danger with these stuffs ?

I think the G-flow has an aluminum top...

I mean, it wont be a huge deal, but if you're paranoid about an aluminum res, you might wanna avoid an aluminum block too.

Well not paranoid about the aluminum part... just worried about the POM material that I haven't read much about at all.

I'm pretty much following the Innovatek standards. Plus the water premix from Innovatek won't void any warranty.

Also which corrodes what ? Al over Cu or Cu over Al or both corrodes each other ?

Although I do prefer a good copper based CPU block, but I haven't seen many in German online stores at all, any suggestions ?

Thanks a bunch !

According to that WP article, POM = Acetal = Delrin. Meaning it's completely safe. Just as safe as acrylic. And when I say completely safe, I mean COMPLETELY. No worries, whatsoever.
