Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I did this to an old Nvidia TNT 16MB card, and the card continued to work fine afterwards, so you might try it and see if it still works. All a capacitor does is even out the voltage, because in reality a capacitor blocks all current in a DC system (like a computer). I would try it and see if you got lucky with it still working. Also, a higher capacitor shouldn't hurt the system at all, but probably no need for it, if you feel like flexing the sautering muscle, I would just put the same one back on.

Please let me know if you have any success repairing it. Your capacitor is out on the corner so it likely doesn't have a critically essential function but mine is sitting right above the core between two memory chips and probably has a lot of do with voltage regulation there. I don't dare put it back in without a repaired cap.
Ahh thx digit, will give it a go tomorrow or sometime during the weekend then
Whats the numbers/codes on yours spare? I found this link on google, hopefully it will be helpful to you. It doesn't say anything about my 6s though :/
Wonder if you can buy a capacitor without a certain value for voltage...
Anyone remember how they replaced the capacitors on gainward ti4200?
