Can't Remove McAfee

I get this same error whenever I try and remove this from a friends machine. They are using XP Pro on a pre-Dell load and it's just a mess.

Any suggestions for getting this off besides reformatting?

I also tried using "CCleaner" to get rid of this application and it still said the same thing...

one of my friends tried to uninstall it too, but it gave another error that it said a specific file was missing, but he got it in the end by visitng the mcafee site and used the manual removal

i think that was what he used or did you already try that?
