I've been running my Q6600 at 3.2 GHz (8x400) since late December, but today I noticed it's running at 8x266 to make 2.1 GHz.
My specs:
Asus P5K Deluxe Bios 404
Q6600 G0
2 GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 running at 5-5-5-15
eVGA 8800 GTX
I've tried different multiplier/FSB combinations and changing memory timings and vcore, but it won't ever pass 266 FSB. The best speed I can get at the moment is stock 2.4 GHz with 9x266.
I went to turn my PC on this morning, and it wouldn't post.
I had to power it on 3 or 4 times before it posted, and it's been booting fine since then.
[edit]
I just tried 9x200 and it's showing up as 9x131 in Windows.
Using CoreTemp and CPUZ.
[edit edit]
Alright well it's running at 8x400 again.
Don't know what I did to fix it...
