1GB (256x2[BH5]/512x1[New Low-latency]) Kingston Hyper X

Now that I finally have my memory running at the timings I want. No matter what I try I can't get it to go past 400mhz. Every time I save the CMOS settings it will reset it back to 400mhz. Anyone else have this problem with thier A8N-SLI's? Doesn't make much sense to me, why it would reset the memory speed without restting anything else. Much less all by itself. I know this memory will go higher since I've run it in my old system a 2,2,2,4 @ 466mhz.

you have 3 sticks.... ewww only 2 sticks to get a good OC

also inorder to increase HTT you need to loosen timings most of the time... that BH-5 like vmem high what board do you have?

but really ditch the 2x256s and get another 512

step 1: Read eclipses links, they really help. Eclipse is very good at what he does and knows what he is talking about, he helped me with my OC and helped me tweak my timings and im getting excelent PI scores now.

step 2: get rid of that stick of 512. You will see better performance with dual channel of 2x256 than you will with 1 stick of 512 or with the 512 stick + the 2x256 sticks. If you need the 1GB of memory then ditch the 256 sticks and get another 512, you will see a big big boost in performance this way and it wont cost a whole lot compared to getting a 1GB stick.

step 3: loosen the timings. Generally, given my RAM, where i tightened my timings a bit, you want to tighten them. When you start to push RAM past its stock clock speed you need to loosen the timings to allow it to OC better, sometimes there are acceptions to this rule but this is a generalization, playing with your ram is the only thing that will really determine what it likes best.
