Can't install program in Vista......help!!!

I'm trying to install software for my fingerprint reader in Vista and when I click on setup, I get this error message:

DigitalPersona Pro Workstation 3.1.0
---------------------------
Installation cannot continue due to the following problem(s):
· Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Me or Windows 98 is required.


Installation will be terminated. Correct the problem(s) and run installation again.


Is there a way around this? Can I force the program to install???
 
Compatibility Mode?

I don't know rather that would work or not... worth a try maybe...
 
Download the Vista updated software from Microsoft, then run install as administrator
 
Plus it looks like 3.5.0 is out, you have an outdated version anyways.
