Cant install new drivers for 7970 :(

I downloaded (twice to make sure) the new drivers specifically for the 7970 and when i go to install them, it freezes as soon as installation starts and goes to black screen and have to do a system restore.

The only drivers that work right now are from the Asus disk :(
 
You need to do a full uninstall with "Atiman uninstaller." you can search it on google.
Then install the drivers.

And please uninstall ANY video card tweaking programs you have first, including radeon pro or Ati tray tools or afterburner.
 
did that and not running any tweakers. card is not overclocked. Same thing.
 
Does the same thing happen if your 920 system is not OC'd?
 
Iduno. Ive never heard of that before. Been installing drivers the way it is right now for 2 yrs
