Can't install driver: "Cannot find monitor driver in INF files"

I have had similar issues with my g520 and p220f CRT monitors. Even the Vista driver for the p220f did not work in Win7. I looked for a long time for a fix and found none. I ended up using the standard PnP VGA drivers that ship with Win7 and using refreshlock to keep the refresh rates where I wanted them. Otherwise Win7 would change the refresh rate to 60Hz every time there was a resolution change.

I bought the Windows 7 upgrade for $30 and upgraded using an XP key.

Can I go back to just using XP somehow?

Why not just get a modern display to go along with your modern OS?

Because modern in this instance is more input lag, more response time lag and inaccurate colors.

Even the 120hz lcd monitors can't compare to a 100hz CRT.

Are there any programs like reforce or refreshlock that work with windows 7? I try to force TF2 refreshrate by typing -refresh 120 into the launch options but it looks like it's stuck at 85hz which is the max available w/o drivers.
