Can't identify the broken hardware

So lately I've had a problem that has taken on a couple different shapes, first whenever I would leave the computer idle and walk away for a little after coming back I would see a dos-esque screen saying a few things but primarily: Windows failed to start. A Recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: Info: The boot selection failed because a required device is inaccessible. After trying to troubleshoot that a bit my friend recommended I see if my power supply may be dying, I ran some stress tests and looked at the voltage of my vcore which appears to be an almost constant 1.15V.

The problems however soon started taking a new turn when coming back to the computer again I received a dos-esque screen saying ‘it appears you have recently changed your memory or cpu’ and of course, I have not changed these things, so now I’m beginning to suspect my motherboard is dying.

Just to be safe I check to see if perhaps something is overheating so I run a stress test, here are the logs:

Seems to run warm for sure, but not overheating. So I test some more. Latest interesting challenge, a few times my computer has booted from a cold start or even a restart, doesn’t make it to the bios splash screen, turns off, turns on automatically, rinse and repeat a few times until as if by magic it makes it back to windows.

I built this PC but I seem to be completely unable to troubleshoot it when I have problems, I've run memtest and a few other things can anyone help?

Bonus hints: I finally witnessed the computer crash, first what happens while using windows 7 is things I try to close freeze, my mouse works fine but I’m unable to actually click or interact with the OS in any meaningful way, I hit ctrl+alt+del nothing happens. I keep pressing those keys, computer boots off.

Any and all help is so greatly appreciative, I"m about to just say computers aren't for me and buy a mac.

Take the motherboard out of the case (which case do you have?) and perform a barebones bench test. If you're having problems right off the bat, then the motherboard may be to blame.

If you can, see if you can borrow a power supply (maybe your friend's?) to run during the bench test. If everything runs fine on the new PSU, then it is possible that yours is malfunctioning.

To me , saying that you left and came back after awhile suggest your pc went into sleep/ hibernate
and failed to come out.
Just want to know 1 thing, is your os installed on your ssd ?

Thanks for the reply, my OS is installed on my ssd but I never allow my computer to go into sleep/hibernate, the only thing it does is power off the monitor at 20 minutes, everything else is on at all times.

Your temps look fine so i'd suggest doing what tiraides suggested to isolate the troublesome part.
First thing would be to rule out a bad bios setting by resetting your cmos.
Use 1 stick of ram and if it post set the timing and speed manualy.

Your psu is enough for that system but psu fail sometimes so wouldn t rule it out yet.

Give us some update as u go along!

I really can't stress enough how much I appreciate the assistance. When building computers I have no problem putting the pieces together, once I have the slightest sign of trouble I am completely lost however so thank you.

I'm at work right now so I'll take everything out of the case tonight, reset the cmos, and use 1 stick of ram to see what I can find. It's a bit tricky though because when it does boot fine it takes about an hour give or take for the computer to crash. So it's a long wait to get the results.

Failed to start means the machine has rebooted and on at least one occasion during a reboot cycle couldn't load windows from the HD. Have you updated your SSD to latest firmware, there is an hour used limit on previous firmware? Have you noticed any issues with the Spinpoint, a device running off HD controller spazzing out can cause a system to hang or reset, and could explain why the system might not have detected the OS to boot to (the error seems more of a "I didn't find OS" error then "I tried loading and failed")? Have you updated to the latest Mobo firmware, might wanna check to see if this is an error any of the revisions fix?

Also see if there is an System or Application errors coinciding with the times the computer restarts. It can tell you sometimes if a device had anything to do with it.
