Hi everyone, as you can see on my signature, I've a Pioneer DVD Writer. I've noticed that it is working on PIO mode, but it can work on UDMA 2 mode. I've tried to make the change in the device manager, on the IDE ATA/ATAPI driver, where you choose the option "DMA if possible". But it still works on PIO mode. The last thing I've done to the writer is to upgrade its firmware. I've checked and it works fine burning CD's and DVD's. What can I do?
The other problem I have is that when I connect my computer to the internet, it gets blocked for a few minutes. I launch the browser, outlook, the messenger, but it doesn't responds. I've checked the task manager, the programs allocate on the memory, but the CPU simply does nothing. Also I've checked the movement on the net connection, but it also doesn't send or receive anything, so I don't think it's a spy program. What is causing my PC to get blocked after I get on the internet?
