Can someone explain to me why the fuck my laptop's HDD is constantly scratching away while my laptop is idle and I'm in bed? :mad: :mad: :mad: I do mean literally seeking/writing/whatever the fuck *constantly*.
 
Oh, that's easy to fix. Just get the biggest hammer you have around the house, and...

(Or, alternately, you could look at perfmon and find out what's writing to disk. Hell if I know how to do it, though.)
 
i've noticed this with my laptop as well. how do u turn off the indexing exactly?
