Well I've been successfully running my P4 3.0E@3.77 for a quite a while now and was wanting to see what else I can do to push it further because I know I can get more out of the proc, with my watercooling helping me. The problem that I'm running too is an odd one to me though. I'm running a Gigabyte 8IPE1000Pro and after I push my FSB up another notch, I actually see my speed rating for my memory drop. Right now my PC2700 is running at ~405 mhz, but as soon as I bump the FSB up one more notch, my memory speed setting in the bios drops to default and everything boots up at default speeds if I reboot.

What do you guys think, is this a bios problem rather than hardware overheating etc...?

It could be a BIOS issue. I'm not really familiar with Gigabyte boards, but they're usually not known for top o/c honors. I would get at least PC3200, preferably PC4200 or PC4400 so you can run 1:1.
