Hello...I am trying to get my mic to work so I can use teamspeak. However all I get is static from my speakers when I plug it in. I checked to make sure it is not muted. Its obviously picking up the mic since when I unplug it the static coming from the speakers goes away. I am using the external device on my Audigy 2 Platinum Ex. Any suggestions?

i found that my mic was actually linked to the wav output for some reason on my audigy 4.

if you go into the windows settings and fool around in there, you should find where you can set it to output.

its kinda hidden, i can tell you where i found it when i get home tonight

go to control panel, sounds and audio devices

go to the voice tab and click the volume button under the voice recording section

in that new volume window, make sure that mic1 is checked at the bottom and not wave

Thanks for the reply...Yeah I tried that already as it is a knowledge article on Soundblasters website. Its wierd...I know it picking up the mic cuz of the static, just dont know why not getting my voice. Thanks again! :)

can u link me to that article, i'm interested in it and couldn't find it

does it happen to tell you how to keep it so the mic is always assigned to the mic port and not wave?

i have to change mine on every restart
