Ok, I have the chaintech av-710 sound card installed in my computer and the latest drivers from via's website the one dated for feb 22 2006, Envy24 Family Drivers Package Release Version 1.40. I just bought some X-530's from a friend and they worked fine at his house, and they work fine when i just run them in 2.1 config. When I try to hook them up in 5.1 the back 2 don't work and when testing the center one it comes through both the right and left front speakers very faint. I've hooked the green wire to the green spot, the orangeish yellow to the orangeish yellow and theres 2 black spots and I've tried em both. I have selected the 5.1 config in the program also..

anyhelp is appreciated

I'm assuming you've "selected 5.1" in the Audio Deck program that was installed with the AV-710. The problem is that you're not playing multichannel audio (I'm guessing). The 710 doesn't upmix stereo audio to 5.1. In order to get full use of the surround sound, you need to output multichannel audio (for example, from a game with surround capabilities or from a DVD with a DTS or DD audio track).
