Can't find what I'm looking for ... does it exist?

Y'all on this forum seem very knowledgeable about monitors, so here's my dilemma.

I'm an editor & motion graphics professional. I use a Mac & mainly Premiere & After Effects. So i need a lot of screen pixels so I can see what I'm working on (usually 1920x1080) plus room for UI elements, etc.

I had a Dell 30" 2560x1600 for a few years. The physical size was right, and the pixel size was perfect, but not enough room for UI when viewing 1080p at 100%.

I tried a 28" 4K display -- pixels were way too small for the UI. But the number of pixels was good.

Now I'm trying a 32" 4K (Asus). The 3840x2160 is good, but the pixels are too small.

So i want to go up to a 40" 4K monitor (like this Philips bdm4065uc which is not even available in the US, nor will be AFAIK.)

But the problem is that even with my 32" Asus, the screen is now so big that it's hard to work with UI elements that are near the side edges, because the angle to my eyes is so sharp!

What I think I really need is a CURVED 40" (or more) 4K display. But I cannot find one anywhere. (All the big curved displays now selling are only 1440 pixels high; I need at least 1600.)

Or is there some other solution that I'm overlooking?

Maybe there's a TV that would work? But it would have to support 60Hz with my 2014 MacBook Pro retina.

Sorry for this, but how about using that thing above your torso, called neck. You can move your head, and see all things easily. With some little head and eye movement, i don't have any "sharp view angles" when using my 32" 4k Acer.

Well ... ha ... that's what I do ... but I'm afraid it will be even worse with a 40". Maybe it will be better with the new standing desk I'm getting today ...

Increase text size and/or move the monitor back a bit. The 32" Asus uses insultingly low 240hz PWM (Side Effects), I'd return it, save 500$+ and get the BenQ BL3201PH which is PWM free.

Unfortunately, you cannot adjust the UI text size in Adobe Creative Cloud software. Very annoying.

That might be my best bet right now ... I can use my laptop screen as the fullscreen video preview device...

Running the Asus 32" at HiDPI 3008 x 1692 gives a more comfy 108 ppi.
Or 3200 x1800 = 115 ppi.

Just annoying that then Ae shows bad antialiasing on the main screen.

Samsung HD8550 now has updated firmware to support 4:4:4 chroma subsampling at 4K60--it also has curved versions of the TVs. Of course these will be larger than 40" so that is the downside if you are trying to keep the size down.
