Can't find the Fast Write/Read BIOS option. Or, the MB doesn't have it?

I've looked all over my MB's BIOS and I can't seem to find any option for "Fast Write" and "Fast Read" . Is it possible that it doesn't have that feature? Would not having that feature create such a huge drop in performance? Could an updated Bios fix the issue?
