I need help trying to dual boot Ubuntu and Windows. I've done it many times before but this time the setup is a bit different. Windows will be booting from a SSD while Ubuntu from a HDD. I've tried all sorts of things but it just won't work.
 
Which os was installed first? Which bootloader are you using? What version of Ubuntu and Windows?
 
I tried both combinations. Windows first then Ubuntu and Ubuntu first then Windows. Tried GRUB and Windows. Windows 8 and Ubuntu 13.10.
