Cant display 2560 x 1440 using newer AMD drivers

Currently running old 9.12.0.0 driver (date:12/19/2013) and am able to display 2560x1440 with my sapphire HD6950 2 GB - windows 7 on a ASUS PB278. I have recently tried updating the drivers to accommodate newer games and end up not having the option to display this higher resolution. I therefore have no choice but to roll back drivers. Am I stuck using these outdated drivers to be able use my max resolution?

Any help appreciated.

Can you get a new monitor driver?

Try using the CRU program to force a resolution.
