cant decide what videocard!

hey....im upgradin soon and i cant decide on what videocard to get im not sure if im not hardcore gamer enough to get a 7800gtx....should i go with 1 6800ultra...or if i find a good deal on the FTFS for 2 ultras or 2 gts....or a X850xt pe also im thinkin a/b getting a X2 i already have the ram
 
I know the feeling. I could no longer stand my 5 year machine. So, I decided if I wanted build a new machine, may as well get a good case, power supply, hard drive and DVD burner. Then the rest could be s**t that I could replace later, like a Duron 1.8 GHz and Ti4200. Believe it or not, it plays UT2004 with high detail at 30 to 70 frames per second. Heh, that's cool. ;)
 
Don't get 6800 Ultra cuz oced 6800 GT beat that card due to GT's aggressive memory.

Also X850XT PE isn't necessary. Just buy X800XT and oc it to X850XT PE speed if possible.

I would strongly recommend u X800XL cuz it's the best bang card for today time since it can beat 6800GT by an inch. :)
 
the 7800 is a fine card although a bit pricey... kinda like a high end car.

a 6800 series would serve you fine.

plus it has pixel shader 3.0 which ati only has 2.0.
 
I believe that CrossFire will be a more effective technology than SLI.
Read [H]ardOCPs preview if you have not already.
 
ya..i just dont know ...cant decied..cuz i can get a X850xt for 450 and im thinkin a/b waittin for the crossfire to come out also....but i dunno..but im goin wiht the X2 so i might just get that first
