I'm looking for either a 17 or 19in lcd that is good for gaming. My price point is ~300 or lower (can be 300 AR as well).

Thanks

300 will be easier for the 17 inch.... but i think youd be more satisfied with a 19 for only a little more. in the 19 in at yer price point the hyundai l90d+ is one you should really consider.

Both 17" and 19" use the same max res of 1280x1024...
The difference is that 17" has smaller pixels... meaning the images would be sharper.
The 19" has bigger pixels... the image would be more pixelated... yet larger...

But the 19" would be easier on the eyes... u cant go wrong either way....

I perfer 17" since its a nice size....

with a $300 budget... u might be able to get the Samsung 913T (19", 8ms, 160/160)
Try and go Samsung, they are the best LCD manufacturers out there... :)

Haven't been able to find the Samsung 913t for less then $465. How would the benq fp91g+ be for $305 or the AG Neovo F-419 (R12) for $249? I'm trying to stick to my $300 and no more.

Any other suggestions in that $300 range. If it comes down to it I'll just get the Hyundai, but I would like to stay in the $300 or less range.

Ok i found u these... unfortunately their all ANALOG... and i personally perfer digital (DVI)...

SAMSUNG 915N for around (US) $322 at newegg.com
its 8ms... 19"... 160/160... 700:1...

Samsung 710N for (US) $240 at newegg.com
12ms... 17".... 160/160.... 600:1...

Samsung 913V for (US) $306 at newegg.com
12ms... 19".... 160/150.... 600:1...

Viewsonic VP171b are nice for gaming. I would like the 19" version better but thats gonna depend on what rez your graphics card can handle.
