Can't change email address

Trying to change email from Excite.com to my ISP supplied account, sbcglobal.net, and CP keeps telling me it won't allow it. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Tried emailing the a mod using the link supplied but it kept coming up as an invalid address.

The only reason I can think that it wouldn't go thru is if the same email addy is already in use for another acct. You can PM it to me and I'll check it out for you.
