Seems to me you are leaving out some important info and most will by pass this thread by your ginormous first post.

Are you trying to burn a movie?

Have you tried to burn a data disc?

Has the burner ever worked?

have you tried burning a cd?

Have you tried different media?

Have you just tried using Windows to burn the disc?

Will a different burner work properly in your system?

Will your burner work properly in a different system?

Are you trying to burn a movie? Yes. I have copied some DVD's onto my computer and I was trying to burn them onto a DVD-RW cd.

Have you tried to burn a data disc? Yes, and those do not work either

Has the burner ever worked? Yes. I can burn music cd's fine

have you tried burning a cd? Yes, see above

Have you tried different media? What do you mean? Do the above answers answer this question?

Have you just tried using Windows to burn the disc? How do I go about doing this

Sorry, Not to computer savvy.

BlindedByScience: I have never tried any different burners in this system. I built this system about a year ago and this is what I put in it. I have never removed it to try it in a different pc, either.

And sorry about the huge first post. That log Nero gave me, I was unsure what would have been important and what would have not been important.

as a side note you cant just copy the files off of a dvd and then put them on a dvd disc, it just doesn't quite work like that.

When i say different media i mean different brands of dvd discs like Memorex or RIData or Imation.

In windows if you drag files to your cd/dvd drive with a blank disc in then in windows explorer you can go file and then write these files to disc and it will burn it for you.

when you say you have tried to burn a data disc are you trying to use just dvd rw discs or have you tried data cd's as well?

Have you tried using nero burning rom?

I have not tried any different brands of DVD discs. I will try that tomorrow.

When I try to burn with windows, I moved a file over the "CD Drive(D:)" and it said "D:\ is not accessible. Incorrect Function

When I tried to burn a data disc, I just used DVD RW cds. Is that incorrect, or should it work.

Nero is the software that gave me that huge log in my original post.

Thanks again
