Stupid question cuz I never ran into this sorta problem before, I fried my msi-k7n2-delta-l mobo, and i got it rma'ed, got the beast back and re-installed all the components, however the system doesn't boot with the cd-rom drive in... it boots fine without it, but I never had that kind of problem before with my other mobo... any suggestions? Thanks in advanced...

the drive is set to master and is the only component on the ide channel 2

Verify theres no problem with the cd-drive.. try it in a different mobo/PSU.

Also, try to check the voltages on your PSU if you can. There could be a problem there.

Thirdly, clear the CMOS and try again.
