I have a Q6600 and an Asus P5E3 Deluxe. If I change my FSB strap or DRAM Frequency my pc won't boot. Is this common with these boards?

I'm also stuck at 3.5ghz while my old P5B Deluxe got me to 3.6ghz. I'm guessing its this ram setting hurdle I have to get by. Ideas?

Here are my current settings:

OCZ platinum at 7.7.7.20.
