Canon Print Driver Crash

I have a rather bizarre problem. I'm using a Canon S530D printer on Windows XP, and about 1/3 of the time, when I cancel a print, the entire system instantly shuts down and restarts. Anyone have any ideas what might be causing it? I'm assuming that it's not hardware related, because the printer never had any problems running on the same system under Windows ME.
