hello everyone. i recently purchased a canon mp780 printer/fax machine. seems like a great machine. the one question i have is "how do i send a color fax from my pc"? does it automatically detect a color fax on the other end? i know on some hp models, the software will ask if you want to send a color fax or b&w. i don't see any settings on this machine nor any mention of it in the manual. i would appreciate some input. thanks.

well i called canon tech support to ask this question and they informed me i cannot color fax direct from pc. they gave me some mumbo jumbo about software conflicts with xp sp2. he had no specific information though. i told him i was disappointed because the hp i replaced has this capability and sp2 had no affect. his suggestion was to print the color documents and then color fax the documents from the machine. WTF!! 
great for the environment eh? sad to say while i love this printer, i may return it for another hp.
