Hi Folks,

Recently on my dell laptop running Wndows 7 Home (x64) It seems as though I cannot run the chkdsk feature under the tools menu. When I try to run it, during bootup it counts down to "1" asking to skip like normal. I want it to run, but it still boots directly into Windows. Very weird...Anyone else have this issue?

Thx,

Anthony

it's chkdsk.. sounds like you have some kind of scheduling issue.

Check and see if your computer's date and time is set correctly. If it is, you can check your disk another way - insert Win7 DVD into the drive and reboot your computer and boot off the DVD drive.

When you see the install screen, you should see a repair option on the bottom left corner. You can run chkdsk there.
