Cannot install Dell 2007WFP Driver

I recently purchased two Dell 2007WFP monitors. I cannot install Dell 2007WFP Driver. I'm getting an error "Cannot install this hardware". I was able to install the driver on the other computer.

I also cannot add color profile 2007WFP.icm. The error occurs when I try to set the profile as the default in the "Color Management" tab in the Advanced Settings of the display settings. It's almost like Windows won't allow any ICC profile to be associated with the monitor. I can add it to the list , but when I hit "Apply" or "Ok", the hourglass shows for a few seconds and then the error pops up, "An error occurred while associating 7004WFP.icc. This is not a valid color profile." Any idea what's causing this? What will be the benefit of installing 2007WFP driver?

I wouldn't let it worry you too much...the only thing in that "driver" is the icm profile. I use a Spyder 2 icm profile anyway so I didn't even bother installing the one from Dell. If it was critical they would have included it on the cd that comes with the monitor don't you think?

How do you load the Spyder 2 icm profile? I cannot manually load any color profiles using the MS color management.

It loads automatically as the default profile...if you want to change profiles go to display properties---> settings---> advanced---> color management, then choose your icm profile and hit "apply" to set it as your default.

edit- disregard that ^^ I see you already know how to do it. Anyways...I just tried it myself and got the same error...maybe that is why Dell didn't put it on the cd included with the monitor and even made it sort of hard to find on the website?
