Cannot get SLI to work

My specs are in my sig. Right now I have the cards as EVGA 280, BFG 280, GTS250. The sli bridge is on. Windows picks up the BFG card (the one I just added), but tells me there is a driver issue. Nvidia control panel won't pop up an SLI option, and GPUz doesnt show the second 280.

Is there a bios option for this? This is an Dual SLI+Physx board I know that.
 
No love. I scrubbed the drivers in safe mode and removed the 250. The drivers refuse to see the second care. Windows does, and give me this error:

"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"
 
did you try a Driver Sweeper? Run that in the safe mode after uninstalling nvidia drivers and before installing new ones, maybe that'll do the trick. Also, check for hardware failure (i.e. install each card separately in the second PCI-e slot without the second card in the first slot).
 
I have officially tried ever thing I can think of or that has been suggested. I cannot get windows to stop installing the drivers on boot however, and I think that is fucking everything up (Win7 64 bit). I have tried all the cards, in all the slots. Every card works independently in each slot. I have treid SLI with or w/o the phsyx card in both evga-bfg than bfg-evga as far as the slots are concerned.

WTF is going on. This is driving me insane.

Yeah, that is a PITA. I had the same problem not long ago, and was able to disable the automatic driver installation via this method:

I don't know if it'll solve your problem, but it's worth a shot.

I had this happened to me once when I first started using SLI. What I did to resolve this is.

1.) I did a BIOS reflash.
2.) Removed all the videocards
3.)Set the CMOS pin to reset
4.)Removed the battery
*Came back from class (four hours)*
5.) Put the battery back
6.) But the CMOS pin back to normal
7.)Inserted the cards from PCI Express 1 to 2 in that order
8.) Put the SLI clip back in and make sure it was on tight.
9.) REFORMAT THE OS BY USING THE DISKPART AND CLEANALL COMMAND. Then the format=ntfs command
10.) Installed the OS with the latest servicepack, chipset drivers and SLI was being properly detected by my OS.

I never had to do that again though. But if poop hits the fan, you know what to do :)
 
Thanks for the help guys. I got this sucker licked an hour or so ago and have been raping video game benchmarks for the last hour.

What I did (because I was this deperate) was flash the oldst bios I could find to my mobo. I rebooted, and then flashed the newest one. Viola. Now fucking idea why that worked, but fuck it, I don't care anymore at this point.

Oh and Kyle, you were right, this puppy COOKS. Got a stable OC on the CPU with a crap cooler at 3.4, and I am a happy man.
