Cannot get DCC send in mIRC to work

Hello,

I have tried everything. I turned off ZoneAlarm and the firewall on my wireless router, I tried other files, but whenever I get a DCC send to me, I accept the file, and mIRC says "Accepting send" and a few seconds later says "Connection failed." What could be the problem?
 
I get that too only thing i have heard is that the server (person) ur gettin the file from doesnt have their settings right for people to download from them.
 
Maybe you or the person you are trying to receive the file from forgot to disable the built-in Windows XP firewall that is on by default.
 
I think it really depends on the server that you are getting the file from. I recommend that you go to an anime irc chat room and try one of their bots. If it works then leave the problem being to a bad server bot.
