I have heard that a card with speed rating of 6 is enough, is this true or should I get card that has a speed rating of 8 or 10?
 
It's more than sufficient. The highest bitrate the camera can record at is 24mbit, which is only half of what a class 6 SDHC card is capable of. You can opt for the faster cards, but you'll only notice the difference when copying data from the card to your computer and not when actually using the camera.
