Can you turn a computer on with this?

Yeah, they have to be momentary. I can't believe they get away with charging $12 for a switch with a piece of plastic on it.

you can get a momentary toggle switch and put the red cover on it with a little modification. the red cover pushes a regular toggle switch into the off position when it is closed, so if you carve out where it hits the switch and stick a momentary toggle in there you get the military look on your power switch.

Thanks and errr most stuff is made out of plastic. There not exactly getting away with it either. You see people choose to buy it or not. Unless your posting from China...which I understand then.

I know a lot of stuff is made of plastic but a lot of stuff is way overpriced for what it is. Xoxide has these same exact switches on sale for $8. A bit cheaper, although their regular price is $12 also.

No. For powering on a PC, turning ON then Off on a regular switch=mementary switch.

That's using the old noodle.

Just remember - if you forget to switch it back into the off position, about 8 seconds later your computer will just turn itself back off...

yeah, it's usable... i heard some auto shops had those military style switches, CHEAP too, maybe you can check it out, autozone perhaps? I've never seen one there though :(

Thanks for the pep boy tips. I'll probably have to stop there sometime when I'm up at my girlfriends.

I think iv seen them in a Summit catalogue. Except theirs are all aluminum, and propably lont feel cheap like i assume those plastic ones do.
