I have an athlon 2400 which was overclocked to a 3200 and was multiplier unlocked. And then the motherboard that it was on stopped working so i bought an Albatron board from Newegg. I hooked everything up, turn on the power, and then my processor immediatly started smoking and i could hear little sparks coming from the processor. Now my motherboard AND my processor are fried. Im going to RMA the board back to newegg AND try and get a new processor out of them since the board fried my other processor which as far as i am concerned still worked because i put it in another computer before all this to make sure it was the motherboard before i bought the albatron. Is there a way that they can look at the processor and know that it was previously overclocked? Do you think they will give me both? And what do you think is the cause of my processor and motherboard exploding? Thanks!!
