Can you sell Steam Games Keys?

i have some valve games that i want to sell, but since you can download the game of steam and never have to use the game disk ever (nobody keeps\use them anyway) and thats the point about steam when you can also buy the game of them of their server. games like l4d or orangbox etc. so can you sell em here? its save alot on shipping the actual game!

You can't sell Steam accounts here, and we also don't permit users to sell "keys only". If you don't have physical media to ship, we will either close the thread, or ask that you remove the item.

(8) Selling or Trading of CD-KEY(s) without the original disks is strictly prohibited.

Also, Steam keys are permanently tied to the account they're purchased from, unless they're purchased as a gift. Gifts are tied to the account they're initially activated on. If another account attempts to activate the key, Steam will display a duplicate key error. Steam will not reset keys so they can be sold to another user.
