Ok guys and gals...

I am looking for volunteers to donate some parts. We are trying to get the next round of contests in order and we need your help.

Let us know what you have and we will let you know if we need it.

Oh and don't bother asking what the next contest is gonna be, cause I ain't telling. :D :p

Edit/Update: Viper was kind enough to volunteer to procure all of this great stuff from you guys. Please PM Viper if you can and are willing to donate parts to the team for future use. He will then complie a list and update the thread here with what we have and what we still need.

Just in case you were wondering too....we are doing this to keep the great contests coming and also, to try and make/keep them free to entrants!

Well also might be able to giveup a used Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 8 40 gig ATA drive

Also a brand new gigabyte k7 triton motherboard..... Been waiting to use for new folding box. But I have yet to even think about it

How about a pair of P3 733's? If not for this hardware potluck, then for someone that needs 2 cpus for a dually board.

Ok, I freaking hate that color.

Just let me know what you come up short on and I'll see what I can do.

But in all honesty, did you guys SEE Vipers room? We sure we want to send anything smaller than a Mack truck to his place for fear it will get sucked up into the vast shit hole which is his room?

Trust me, I'm the messiest person I know, but I think Vipers worse...

Methinx Tormond = teh win on the 2 x P!!! 733's. They're identical, cept one's from Costa Rica, and the other is from da Phillippines. I'll collect shipping info later this week, as they're sitting in a drawer at werk.

I have some more schtuff I plan on giving away relatively soon, as it's just taking up space. I'll be sure to throw it up in this thread or the DComp swap meet thread.

For the record...there is a mack trust in my driveway....I shant be needing another. Also, my room is now cleen. Comcast was out here fixing my internet (for about the 6th time now, bastards) and since the cable comes in through my room, i had to make sure they could atleast get to it.

Enough of Mary though, I wanted to update you guys on what I have already gotten. Tons more people than I planned have already stepped up. Looks like ive secured a few cd roms, two power supplies, and socket A mobo and either a semp or axp to go in it. DevilDoc offered up those dual 733's, so if anyone out there has a dually P3 board, i'd be quite interested in that. If you cant read, in which case there is really no point in me reiterating, Duster said he may also be able to conjure up a gigabte k7 mobo and 40gb drive. I could also use some ram...small 128mb or 256mb dimms would be fine, gotta be DDR though. Other than that, I think all i'd need is video (PCI would be best, AGP gets finicky with older cards in newer boards) and cases (which I doub't anyone wants to splurge on s/h for, so these will most likly come from the egg)

All in all, this was a helluva lot bigger responce on the first day that I had expected. As of yet, I am not sure myself exactly how many prizes there will be. My goal is one complete system, but I don't know if anythign beyond that is planned, were still working on the details. Should I aquire parts I don't need, I will be stockpiling them for future contests, so don't be afraid to offer up some of your old dusty hardware because I said I already got something. I will make sure all donated hardware ends up in the hands of a lucky folder in due time.
